UV Protection

When exposed to high levels of UV light, the eyes need effective protection to prevent such disorders as conjunctivitis or snow blindness. Over the long-term, exposure to UV can lead to cataract and ocular tumours.

A pair of sunglasses protect the eyes not only against UV radiation, but also against glare.

Glare reduces the clarity of our vision and can even lead to smarting of the eyes and headache. Sunglasses can be made to almost any prescription, in single vision, bifocal and varifocal forms.

Polarised Lenses

Polarised lenses eliminate the reflected glare from surfaces such as the road, the pavement and water. They are especially beneficial to people who drive a lot, people who enjoy fishing, and those who enjoy water sports. The lenses eliminate more glare than standard sunglasses,

Photochromatic Lenses

Photochromic lenses can be made of glass or plastic. Basically, they go darker when outdoors in the sun, and lighter when you are indoors. They are great for people with an active lifestyle, who don't want to be changing between their spectacles and sunglasses all day long. The newest technology allows them to go from light to dark, and vice versa very quickly.
