Are you looking for perfect vision?
Our eyes are our most important sense organ. And since each eye is as unique as a fingerprint, it requires a customised visual analysis during your eye test.
Carl Zeiss Vision manufactures customised precision lenses using innovative and patented techniques to meet these requirements. Learn about the technology behind the Zeiss i.Terminal and Zeiss i.Profiler®.
Learn more about the individual ZEISS lens configuration process and how you will get to your customised ZEISS eyeglass lenses in five steps
Step 1 - Your individual sight situation
The ZEISS lens configuration process starts with a discussion of your personal visual behaviour and needs
We need to know, not only what your new spectacles have to achieve, but also when and where. We will discuss your regular day to day schedule, job and activities as well as any specific visual problems. The more we know, the better we can assist you in acquiring your customised precision lenses.
Step 2 - Precise eye measurement
The i.Profiler® measures your eye and creates a unique profile, taking into account all specific properties and capturing them in an optical map
Thanks to the i.Profiler® and the data it generates for your eyes, we can now order truly customised precision lenses from Zeiss Vision. This data helps the experts produce optical lenses that will provide you with clear night and twilight vision without irritating reflections or halo effects. You will enjoy excellent contrast and depth of field. Last but not least, you will simply see more clearly.
Step 3 - Subjective eye test
The subjective eye test provides accurate data for your precision lenses.
Different lenses are placed systematically in front of your eyes and you are asked to describe what & how well you see.
This test continues until optimal vision is achieved by constantly changing the powers of the lenses offered to you. With your assistance, we will determine the best possible prescription for your precision lenses.
Step 4 - Exact fitting
Did you know that lens fitting errors can reduce optical performance by up to 40%?
The forth step of your individual ZEISS lens configuration uses ZEISS Centration Technology. It allows the position of the frame and lenses to be calculated to the nearest 1\10 of a millimetre, ensuring that your new ZEISS precision lenses provide 100% performance.
Step 5 - Your personal lens solution
With our assistance, you select the best features for your precision lenses.
We will distinguish between four categories that define a ZEISS lens. The lens type and the material are two basic sections you have to consider. This is where you make your quality choice. The third and fourth categories - coatings and sun protection - give you the added features which make your lenses more efficient and favourable.
